Thank you for visiting my new blog, NG...you're the first! Venice was the holiday of a life-time for me...a dreamy, romantic, atmospheric city...soooo beautiful. I was enraptured in its magic.

Hello, Sheila! I really did fall in love with Venice...the colours of the buildings, the feeling of history all around, the vibrancy of the amazing Murano glass in the shops, the light (as an artist that appealed to me)and the wonderful paintings in the churches. My favourite, and the highlight of the visit, was to see Tintoretto's paintings which cover the walls and ceilings of the Grande Scuole, which took him 23 years to complete! His absolute faith shines through in them. Thanks for visiting again.

Hi there,
What wonderful photos and even better experience! I don't know why it is, but I love scenes with windows and doors, especially related to gardens. I agree with Sheila...incredibly romantic. Welcome to blogland!

Looks like you had a wonderful time taking pictures, what are those glass orbs in the last photo?

Hi, Chris! Thanks for introducing yourself. I love the windows and doors decorated with plants too.

Hello again, IGW, lovely to see you again. I think the glass orbs are like those glass weights you see on little fishing nets.
